Pleasance Farm is ideally situated for many attractions throughout the West Midlands. For pleasure, we are a short drive from Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Birmingham, the NEC and the Cotswolds (and of course a short walk from the historic town of Kenilworth, including its castle). For business, Birmingham International Airport is only 20 minutes drive away, as is the National Exhibition Centre and Stoneleigh Park.

Here are just a few of the many attractions.

Kenilworth Castle

One of England’s most spectacular castle ruins, Pleasance Farm was once part of the castle estate, so this is an ‘attraction’ that we hold close to our hearts. Admission rates are reasonable and are free for English Heritage members.

Kenilworth town

Kenilworth isn’t just about the castle, it has much more to offer and is well worth exploring. Abbey Fields is Kenilworth’s main park and is set in the valley of the Finham Brook and enjoys views of the castle. Kenilworth War Memorial at the top of Abbey Fields is a lovely spot for a picnic or little rest. St Nicholas’ Church is situated on High Street and looks out over Abbey Fields and was built circa 1921. Abbey Fields Swimming Pool – 25m x 10m indoor pool and an outdoor pool that is open from May to September each year. The Priory Theatre is a self funding theatre that is run by its members for the benefit of the local community and compliments the Talisman Theatre & Arts Centre which as a theatre company, was founded in 1942

St Johns House Museum

St John’s House Museum occupies the ground floor of a 17th century historic house and is located in Warwick, just east of the town centre. It is now a museum, run by Warwickshire County Council, and has had a varied history spanning almost 400 years

Warwick Castle

60 acres of landscaped grounds and gardens, which include the beautiful Peacock Garden and Conservatory, the Victorian Rose Garden and Pageant Field. Admission is fairly pricey but is well worth the visit if you have children.

Hatton Country World

Farm Village entertainment and shopping village. Again, this is a must for young families.

Royal Leamington Spa

The trademark Regency and Georgian architecture provides a beautiful setting for a day visit. Leamington is probably the best shopping town in the district, with a good mix of boutique and high-street shops. Alongside that, Jephson Gardens and Mill Gardens lie in the heart of Leamington Spa and are beautifully kept all year round. Built along the banks of the river Leam, the gardens span outwards from the historic Royal Pump Rooms. The historic Royal Pump Rooms have been redeveloped to create a cultural complex worthy of the 21st century including a cafe and museum.

Stratford-upon-Avon

About a 30 minute drive away is the famous town of Stratford-upon-Avon which of course is the birthplace of William Shakespeare. The RSC Theatre is an imposing and impressive building that sits on the banks of the River Avon and have numerous plays all year round. If theatre isn’t your thing, then you could wander the medieval streets, browsing the mix of high street and boutique shops on offer.
